An excursion by car or van into the Veneto Region to visit the leisure villas of the venetian aristocracy. Villa Emo and Villa Barbaro on the Prosecco hilly vineyard belt, and Villa Foscari near the Lagoon of Venice, were all projected by Andrea Palladio and totally covered by frescos internally. The Villas are all provided with splendid parks where in the past the rich venetian patricians were used to enjoy their bucolic idylls. A charming way to do something different, visiting some of the less crowded Unesco heritages, far from the busy touristic destinations.
