The Doge’s Palace, now a wonderful museum, was once the political centre of the patrician republic of Venice. We visit the ancient council halls decorated by the most famous venetian artists as Titian and Tintoretto. By crossing the romantic Bridge of Sighs we reach the ancient prisons with their gloomy cells.
We also get inside Saint Mark’s Basilica the most amazing interior of Venice (skipping the line), with its wonderful golden mosaics and the golden altar piece made up with 2000 precious stones.
(Take notice: the Basilica may close at the last moment without notice due to religious functions)
